Managing Attorney, Sokolove Law

Ricky is the managing attorney of Sokolove Law and has been practicing law for 35 years. As head of the firm and an experienced nursing home abuse lawyer, he works to ensure client satisfaction on an individual case level across various areas of litigation, including nursing home abuse.

Professional Experience

Ricky began practicing law in 1991 after earning his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in Boston. Raised in a working-class Massachusetts factory town, he entered plaintiffs’ law to help individuals and families stand up to large corporations, insurers, and institutions.

Over his career, Ricky has helped thousands of clients, including those harmed by nursing home abuse and neglect. His work has also given him broad experience with complex claims involving asbestos-related diseases, medical negligence, and unsafe products.

Ricky brings a hands-on approach to his work, with a focus on protecting clients’ rights, improving case handling, and helping families pursue accountability after preventable harm.

Commitment to Justice

Ricky believes nursing home residents and their families deserve strong legal representation when a facility’s failures cause harm or death.

A nursing home is often part of a larger corporate network that controls staffing, policies, and records while distancing itself from failures at the facility. His goal is to help level the playing field. Through the civil justice system, families can seek answers, compensation, and accountability.

Ricky also believes legal action can do more than help one family. Holding negligent facilities financially responsible can pressure them to improve care and prevent similar harm to other residents.
